• Optimism is seeking a strategic and visionary Head of Marketing, Communications & Brand.
• You will lead the development and execution of marketing, communications, and branding strategies.
• Build brand awareness, engage the community, and drive adoption across the Superchain.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in marketing, with 5+ years in a leadership role ideally within the crypto industry.
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns, including user acquisition and product adoption onchain.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, including key verticals like DeFi and its growth drivers like TVL.
• Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• A passion for technology, crypto, and a deep understanding of its potential impact on the future of finance and technology.
• Strong leadership and management skills; enjoy managing teams and fostering collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and formalize comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with the Collective’s vision and growth objectives.
• Set measurable goals to track and optimize team performance.
• Drive growth across key audiences (DeFi users, application developers, and Superchain Interop ecosystems) through adoption, mindshare, and retention.
• Shape Optimism’s brand narrative and positioning; develop a strong narrative that aligns with the community and Optimism values.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing marketing, communications & brand team.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, governance, and engineering leads to ensure effective execution of marketing strategy.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and founders.
