Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• At least 5 years of accounting experience; crypto accounting experience is a plus
• Demonstrated skills in Python and/or SQL coding (a plus)
• Experience with accounting software, preferably Xero
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); French is a plus
• Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
• Problem-solving mindset — you don’t just follow processes, you improve them
• Ability to work independently in a virtual global organization, take initiative, and adapt to challenges
• Highly detail-oriented and proactive
• Comfortable balancing crypto-heavy accounting tasks with standard financial operations

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing general ledger entries
• Performing account analysis to ensure journal entries and balances are correct
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for all entities in collaboration with external accounting firms
• Monthly intercompany accounts reconciliation
• Reconciliation of accounts and group-level analysis
• Participation in annual closings and audits for all group entities
• Helping streamline and improve financial processes
• Assisting with internal financial controls and procedures
• Handling a mix of high-level and routine accounting tasks
• Staying updated on best practices in both traditional and crypto accounting
