• At Seedworld Studios, we are on a mission to revolutionize gaming with our AAA metaverse game, Seedworld, blending Fantasy and Steampunk themes.
• We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to one of the biggest metaverse projects in the industry.
• You will report to the Head of Engineering and work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable and efficient backend services.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in backend development or as a Senior Software Engineer.
• Proven expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, and REST API design.
• Experience with frameworks like Express or NestJS.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and foster a strong engineering culture.
• Knowledge or interest in the Web3 ecosystem, including wallets, transactions, IDOs/ICOs, and DeFi concepts.
• Experience working in user-focused environments, balancing technical requirements with customer needs.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and deliver high-quality code in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of team objectives, ensuring impactful and timely delivery.
• Lead the development and maintenance of scalable, efficient backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and develop complex systems, making high-impact architectural decisions.
• Manage RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs for seamless data exchange.
• Optimize and maintain MongoDB databases to ensure data integrity and scalability.
• Establish monitoring and alerting strategies to ensure high availability and performance.
• Lead code reviews, implement best practices, and mentor team members.
• Implement security best practices to proactively identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product owners, and Web3 experts to align development with business goals.
• Contribute to DevOps processes, including CI/CD and cloud infrastructure management (AWS).
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for backend systems.
