General Counsel (IP & Crypto Law)

Requirements

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in legal roles, with at least three years in a high-growth company and/or law firm setting.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, including scientists, technologists, and business executives.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Significant experience in biotech, particularly in handling IP matters, including patents, licensing, and technology transfers.
• Knowledge of blockchain technology and the legal landscape for crypto-related initiatives.
• Experience navigating regulatory compliance in the crypto industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with international laws on intellectual property and crypto laws.
• Develop and lead Molecule’s legal strategy to support rapid growth, mitigate risks, and align with business objectives.
• Advise on biotech intellectual property matters, including patent strategy, licensing agreements, and technology transfers.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including research collaborations, licensing agreements, and partnerships.
• Provide legal oversight on crypto-related initiatives and contribute legally to create blockchain-based platforms for IP management.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic legal counsel and contribute to corporate decision-making.
