Investment Manager

Description

• Join LayerZero Labs as an Investment Manager for lzCatalyst, where you will identify and evaluate investment opportunities in the blockchain space.
• You will work closely with the business development team to manage investment pipelines, support builders in fundraising, and expand our investor network.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience working at a venture fund or blockchain startup.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
• Prior experience in venture capital is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and identify industry trends.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate market trends and identify new projects building on the LayerZero protocol.
• Conduct in-depth industry research and develop market mappings for relevant Web3 verticals.
• Source, assess, and track new investment opportunities.
• Manage inbound lzCatalyst applications and track fundraising progress.
• Conduct preliminary diligence & screening on potential investment opportunities.
• Support builders in their fundraising efforts, including narrative framing, pitch deck feedback, and investor outreach.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and investors in the blockchain ecosystem.
• Filter, organize, and distribute tailored investor deal flow outreach on a bi-weekly basis.
